2019 Doctoral/Postdoctoral Project For “Brain+X” Seed Grant Program

Date:2018-11-23

The rapid development of neuroscience and brain science benefits greatly from the development and breakthroughs of some key technologies in other disciplines. Significant technological advances in physics, chemistry, informatics, computational science, material engineering and other disciplines have greatly promoted the research of neuroscience and brain science in depth and breadth. Tsinghua University-IDG/McGovern Institute established the "Brain+X" seed Grant program on December 16, 2017, aiming to support innovative cooperation among departments of Neurology and brain sciences of Tsinghua University, and to promote effective intersection and deep integration of neuroscience and brain sciences of Tsinghua University with other disciplines. In 2018, Tsinghua McGovern has successfully landed and funded the first batch of "Brain+X" seed fund Inter-faculty research fellow projects.

In 2019, Tsinghua McGovern will further encourage doctoral and postdoctoral students to cross-innovate in neuroscience and brain science and other disciplines, establish Tsinghua McGovern's Brain+X PhD and postdoctoral seed fund program, and fund outstanding doctoral and postdoctoral research projects across departments.
