[Research Focus]

The essence of exercise and sport is the training of brain's function to control and regulate the body. Brain health is the core element of physical health. Three aspects of health - exercise, diet and sleep, are components interrelated with each other. Exercise can improve people's health and mental state, work efficiency and quality of life; Exercise with appropriate intensity and amount will bring comfortable feelings; Aerobic exercise and strength training are prescription drugs which can help people receive more value than their cost; Exercise should be accompanied by a healthy diet and good sleep. Exercise, diet and sleep are behavioral factors which can affect the physical health status, while cognition is the core factor to determine whether these healthy behaviors can be implemented. However, only by finding solutions to the core factors affecting exercise behavior can we fundamentally solve the problem of insufficient physical exercise. Hence, it is more and more important to explore the mechanism of the influence of exercise on brain health according to personalized exercise intervention of human life cycle health, the relationship between daily physical activity, sleep and cognition of different people, as well as the interactive effects of physical activity and environmental pollution on cognitive function.
