As the Nobel laureate Sydney Brenner pointed out, “Progress in science depends on new techniques, new discoveries and new ideas, probably in that order”. Specifically in neuroscience, its history is greatly promoted by the development of new techniques. Benefiting from “Brain Projects” worldwide, recent years have witnessed significant advances in large-scale recording of neuronal structures and activities. This symposium will focus on advanced neuronal imaging techniques, aiming to present the latest developments for the brain research in health and disease.
